Re:You Health provides administrative support and facilities to the private practices of our bariatric medical practitioners

Our story

The idea of a GP-led weight management clinic providing unbiased, evidence-based information about all available options began in 2015, when Zanna and Teresa worked together at Australian Metabolic and Obesity Surgery (AMOS).

During this time, they recognised a clear need for patients to understand the chronic nature of obesity and to be supported with individualised, medically guided care.  Their shared vision was to educate, empower and partner with patients through tailored programs designed to meet each person's unique needs.

In 2017, Teresa was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Throughout her treatment, she was supported and encouraged to remain positive, active, and focused on her health.  This experience reinforced her belief that people living with weight challenges deserve the same level of compassion, structured support, and encouragement.

Zanna has also experienced significant health challenges.  She was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) during investigations for infertility, deepening her understanding of the complex relationship between hormones, metabolism and long-term health. In 2025, Zanna was also diagnosed with breast cancer.  Navigating treatment while continuing to support her patients further strengthened her commitment to evidence-based care, preventative health and the power of multidisciplinary support.

In 2018, their shared vision became a reality with the opening of Re:You Health.

As Directors, Zanna and Teresa bring not only extensive clinical knowledge and experience, but also empathy and a deep understanding of the challenges their patients face.

Re:You works collaboratively with several bariatric services, primarily partnering with the teams at Obesity and Weight Loss Surgery Adelaide (OWLSA), Dr Virginia Lambert and Dr Margaret Dunkley, along with Adelaide Exercise Physiology and 3D Dietetics. Patients may also access support from a network of experienced psychologists, including Melanie Weeks and Nicolle Cummins.
